Would You Like To See How Much Traffic Your Competitors Generate From SEO?

Below we explore why you should be analysing the SEO traffic of your competitors - and how to do it.

Getting your SEO strategy right is, as many businesses will know, an ongoing process. Whatever your goals - be it more traffic, or leads and conversions, or both - it can be hard to land on the most effective way to achieve them within your particular industry.

You may know what kind of search terms you want to rank for, but, of course, it’s not always that easy. If your competitors all want to rank for those same keywords, that increases the keyword density, which means it is more difficult to rank for that search term or keyword.

That can feel overwhelming and leave businesses unsure how to improve their current ranking or traffic. Luckily, we have tools available to do the hard work for you. By analysing the SEO traffic that your competitors receive, you can get a sense of the kind of keywords that aren’t being used as effectively or as widely by others in your industry - such as niche keywords which can drive more qualified traffic to your site - which you can then use to improve your own site’s SEO.

How do we do it?

We analyse a range of different data, basically. Once we know your competitors, we can assess their Quality Score from Google, which is Google's rating of the quality and relevance of both your keywords and PPC ads. It is used to determine your cost per click (CPC) and is multiplied by your maximum bid to determine your ad rank in the ad auction process - so it’s pretty important! We also look at their estimated organic traffic per month, their number of inbound links, and undertake an assessment of paid search ads where possible.

Why is it important? How does it benefit my business?

A lot of people don’t know what they’re missing. They hear SEO and just think “expensive”, or assume it is unrealistic for their website to gain traction if they are a relatively small business. What our tool enables us to do is break SEO down to assess websites and keyword popularity.

We can then help you to compete harder by strengthening the SEO of your website and broadening the keyword net to bring in more traffic. Let’s say I’m getting 1,000 visits a month from Google organic search. I might think that’s fine and is bringing in a good lead volume, but if I knew there were 10 other similar companies within a 10-mile radius all doing the same or more, I’d then be thinking “I want their clicks!”

So then I need to know what keywords and search terms aren’t being used as frequently or as effectively and could provide me with good opportunities to bring in more traffic; and that is where our tool helps, too. Once you have the right SEO strategy in place, your website leads and Google ads ROI can be revolutionised.
